Tekka//Moonjock is an art project specializing in digital painting and illustration with a strong affinity for anthropomorphic aesthetics. Stated another way, it is fundamentally furry in its conception. It is a small fragment of the larger texture-focused, uncomfortably earnest, queer, and maverick space it inhabits. It’s a wonderful space, one bearing so many shifting, iridescent facets and odd corridors that it often comes off as an emergent eusocial entity: an ant colony dedicated to no particular objective besides whimsy. Its aesthetic students and even disciples will spit out a doberman with a dominican fade on impulse alone. I love it, and in return I want to share the little, odd nook I’ve been building here for the past 10 years. If you look closely at the pile, it’s an incoherent assemblage of AnCo lyrics, budget-conscious European fashion outlets, and fragments of futurism. At least that’s my perception. The astute critical lens of another would almost certainly say otherwise. Regardless, whether you’re stopping by to consider a commission, peruse the gallery, or get a novel cocktail recipe, I say unto you… night has just begun.

Candidly yours, Tekka
